2011 Palace Saloon 5K

Stephen ran in the Palace Saloon 5K today. He finished 27th overall and first in his age group (10-14) with a time of 18:39. He ran in the same race last year (2010) and came in 56th overall and 2nd in his age group (10-14) with a time of 19:45. You can check out all of the results here. After the severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings we were wondering whether the race would be run at all. But the clouds decided to oblige Herb Wills and the Palace Saloon crew and the rain subsided shortly before the race started. Take a look at the guy who finished in the top 20 wearing flip flops.
